Because we’re all unique with different needs, I bring together a variety of proven techniques and strategies, so your treatment is tailored to you.
Here are some examples of the main influencers in my work.
Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy & Counselling
Psychosynthesis marks the beginning of my training journey as a professional in the field of therapy. I guide individuals in integrating various aspects of themselves, fostering personal growth and harmony. Psychosynthesis is founded on the belief that each of us is on a journey toward a more fulfilling and harmonious existence. And sometimes, on this journey, we need a hand to learn how to play in tune and fully choose with our hearts. There are moments when we may require assistance to align ourselves with this path and make heartfelt choices.
At its core, this approach acknowledges the significance of the body, emotions, and mind in promoting mental well-being and overall health. Through my training, I have acquired a diverse range of techniques to address the unique objectives of each client in therapy. Together, we will collaboratively determine the most suitable course of action and regularly evaluate our progress along the way.
Somatic Experiencing® SEP Practitioner
I have successfully completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing, and I am registered as an SEP (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner).
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is an approach developed by Dr. Peter Levine that emphasizes the interconnectedness of our minds, hearts, and bodies. It proves particularly effective in addressing trauma when traditional talk therapy alone may not suffice. This approach harnesses the inherent healing capacity of our bodies by integrating body-centric therapies with conventional talk therapy. SE operates on the understanding that our life experiences are not only stored in our minds but also in our bodies.
Acceptance Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a powerful approach that brings immense value to my clients. It helps individuals connect with what truly matters in their lives, fostering a sense of purpose. ACT equips clients with essential acceptance skills to navigate painful thoughts and emotions while maintaining control over their lives. By embracing acceptance, clients create a safe space for difficult experiences to come and go without overwhelming them.
ACT also encourages clients to take committed action aligned with their personal values. It invites them to explore core values and intentionally take steps towards a meaningful and fulfilling life. By making choices that reflect these values, clients experience a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose.
ACT provides a transformative framework, offering practical tools to navigate life's challenges, reduce the impact of distressing thoughts and emotions, and embark on an authentic and fulfilling journey aligned with personal aspirations.
